Robert Swanson Award
An added feature of the 2006 NJIT Athletic Hall of Fame induction ceremony was the inaugural presentations of the Robert Swanson Award --which will be bestowed annually.
Named for the late professor and athletic director, the Bob Swanson Award is being presented to the NJIT faculty or staff member who has shown continued support for the Highlander athletic program. Bob Swanson, who served as Director of Athletics from 1947 to 1982, was an original inductee into the NJIT Athletic Hall of Fame in 1986.
