HOBOKEN, NJ - The New Jersey Institute of Technology men's fencing team took on Stevens, Hunter, John Hopkins, Yeshiva and Army in competition held at Stevens Institute of Technology on Sunday.
Andrew Pancoast picked up two points in the foil for the Highlanders against Stevens, which won the meet, 24-3. Hunter defeated NJIT, 20-7, with Pancoast, Tom Reynolds and Rob Tani accounting for the Highlander points. Tani (sabre) and Pancoast (foil) got the NJIT points in a 25-2 loss to Johns Hopkins. NJIT got two points in each of the three weapons in a 21-6 meet vs. Yeshiva, with Pancoast (foil), Reynolds (epee) and Tani (sabre) doing the scoring. Tani picked up a point in the sabre against Army (26-1).
NJIT's next competition is slated for Sunday, January 29 at Johns Hopkins.
