NEWARK, NJ - The New Jersey Institute of Technology men's swimming team split a home tri-meet, defeating Baruch, 58-36, and being edged by Montclair State, 47-45.

Against Baruch, senior Hayk Ekshian swam a pair of firsts (50 free; 100 fly). Also picking up firsts were: Alan Roberts (100 free; 53.75); Marc Ubaldi (500 free; 5:26.09) and Rob Franc (100 breast; 1:04.53). The 200 free relay team of Steve Schreyer, Mike Lawson, James Paccioretti and Ubaldi was also first at 1:38.46.

Against Montclair, Ekshian was first in the 100 fly, Michael Finley was first in the 100 back and Ubaldi won the 500 free.
