BRONX, NY - New Jersey Institute of Technology went on the road and pulled out a tight men's swimming win at State University of New York Maritime College, 110-92, Tuesday night.
The 200 relay team of Dan Botero, Rob Franc, Hayk Ekshian and Marc Ubaldi got things started right for NJIT with a first-place finish at 147.67.
In the individual 200 free, Ubaldi came in first at 156.37. Ekshian and Dan Botero finished one-two in the 100 butterfly and Alan Roberts and Steve Schreyer did the same in the 100 free.
Mike Finley took first in the 100-yard backstroke, adding to NJIT's point total and Ubaldi followed with a win in the 500 freestyle. Franc then kept it going for the Highlanders with the top finish in the 100-yard breaststroke to close out the win.
The Highlanders' next scheduled action is on December 3, when they swim at Saint Peter's, with St. Francis (NY) in a 1 pm tri-meet.
