Men's Tennis Nips Morgan State, 4-3

TENAFLY, NJ - The NJIT men's tennis team nipped Morgan State, 4-3 Wednesday night at the Tenafly Racquet Club improving their record to 6-2 on the season.

The Highlanders split even with the Bears in the singles contests and took two out of three in the doubles competition.

Sophomore Steve Erickson got the Highlanders started at No. 1 singles defeating Disa Mhembere 6-1, 6-1.

Teammate Jonathan Lang followed behind topping Juan Ortiz 6-2, 6-7, 6-3 at No. 2 singles.

Cosmin Chiujdea earned a point for NJIT defeating Kevon Charles by identical scores 6-2, at third singles.

The Highlanders will return to action on Saturday when they host Binghamton at 7pm at Tenafly Racquet Club.
