MELBOURNE, FL - New Jersey Institute of Technology and Northern Illinois both played their first outdoor men's tennis matches of 2007 and Northern Illinois took the match from NJIT, 7-0, Monday afternoon.
The Huskies claimed victory in all of the singles and doubles matches, with the strongest NJIT showing coming from freshman Cosmin Chiujdea, who fell 4-6, 4-6 in third singles.
The Highlanders, 7-6 in 2006-07, will be back in action Tuesday at 6 pm, when they face Florida Tech in Melbourne.
