STATEN ISLAND, NY - The NJIT men's tennis team posted its second consecutive win with a dominant 7-0 win, shutting out Wagner,Thursday night.
NJIT sophomores Steve Erickson and Jonathan Lang got the Highlanders started at first doubles with an 8-5 victory of Wagner's duo of Adam Amster and John Leblanc.
At second doubles, Cosmin Chiujdea and Anthony Tunnero took an 8-0 victory while teammates Nikola Dukleski and Kevin Irani were victorious at third doubles, 8-2.
Erickson topped Amster at first singles recording his 13th victory of the year. Lang shut-out Wagner's Leblanc, 6-0, 6-0 at the second spot.
Tunnero and Siddhardth Verma won by identical scores, 6-0, 6-1 at third and fifth singles while Ramy Lawandy and Doug Zytko picked up points for the Highlanders at fourth and sixth singles.
The Highlanders improve to 11-7 with just two matches left in the 2008 season. Binghamton travels to the Fleisher Athletic Center Tennis Courts on April 4 (7:30pm) as the Highlanders wrap up play at Monmouth on April 6 (12:00pm).
