Men's Tennis Competes at Bucknell Invitational

Bucknell Invitational - Day One Results

LEWISBURG, PA - The NJIT men's tennis team competed at its first tournament of the 2007-08 season at the Bucknell Invitational this afternoon.

In the first flight of the day, sophomore Steve Erickson claimed a 6-4, 6-4 victory over UConn's Joe Goldstein.

Picking up his first win of the season was freshman Siddhardth Verma sweeping Ben Young of Bucknell, 6-0, 6-0.

Sophomore Jonathan Lang competed in the second flight and was topped by Bucknell's Ryan Sandburg, 6-2, 6-0.

Cosmin Chiujdea came up short in the third flight, 6-4, 6-1 against Quinnipiac's Sean Pease.

The Highlanders will return to action tomorrow when they play two doubles rounds and one singles round.
