NEW HAVEN, CT - The New Jersey Institute of Technology's men's track and field team placed 12 out of 18 teams this weekend at the Collegiate Track Conference Champions held in New Haven, CT.
Individually, Umar Saeed set a personal best placing second in both the 3,000-meter run and 5,000 meter race with times of 8:57.13 and 15:38.25. Matt Magnifico set a personal best coming in 11 place in the triple jump with a jump of 40.75.
Mike Genauer set a personal best in the 3,000 meter race walk placing second with a time of 17:18.07. Akitunde Oyawusi finished 13 out of 30 runners in the 55 meter dash with a time of 7.00.
The Highlanders return to action on Sunday, February 25 when they travel to South Orange, NJ for the Seton Hall Invitational, which is scheduled to start at 9am.
