SOUTH ORANGE, NJ - The men's indoor track and field team competed at the Seton Hall Opener on December 2 as they set three school-records and four freshman-records.
Freshman Stefan Montalvo finished third in the one mile run with a time of 4:59.61. Classmate Chadwick Munroe clocked in at 2:10.23 while Drew Pennyfeather followed in with a time of 2:18.64.
NJIT runner Mark Givens set a school-record in the 500 meter-dash clocking in with a time of 68.0 while setting a freshman record.
Four Highlanders were represented in the 1000 meter run as senior Matt Magnifico was the top finisher with a time of 2:51.38.
The Highlanders return to action on Sunday, December 9 at the Patch Meet hosted by Fairleigh Dickinson.
