NJIT Volleyball Drops 3-1 Decision to Pacific

STOCKTON, CA - The New Jersey Institute of Technology men's volleyball team fell, 3-1, to Pacific, ranked ninth in the latest national CSTV/AVCA Division I-II Men's Top 15 Coaches Poll, in four games (20-30, 21-30, 30-28, 22-30) in a non-conference matchup Tuesday night.

The Highlanders fall to 12-5, while Pacific improves to 13-10.

Greg Wagner recorded a team-high 10 kills on 16 swings with a .562 hitting percentage. Following Wagner in the kills column was Amobi Armstrong with nine. Rodrigo Correa recorded 33 assists with four kills. Eduardo Welter notched eight kills.

Leading the Highlander defense was Chris Siddayao with eight digs while Leonardo Paludo tallied six digs and three aces.

Pacific was led by Pekka Seppanen and Jeff Hendershot both recorded a game-high 14 kills apiece. Dan Hammer had a game-high six blocks.

The Highlanders return to action Wednesday, when they visit Cal State Northridge, ranked eighth in the latest national poll, at 7 pm Pacific time.
