NORTHRIDGE, CA - Cal State Northridge, ranked eighth in the latest national CSTV/AVCA Division I-II Men's Top 15 Coaches Poll, swept visiting New Jersey Institute of Technology, 3-0, Wednesday night in the finale of the Highlanders' three-match men's volleyball Spring Break trip to California.

The Highlanders, 12-6 overall, opened the trip with a win at Hope International, but lost the next two on back-to-back nights at Pacific and Cal State Northridge. Pacific is ninth in the latest national poll.

Cal State Northridge won the match against NJIT, 30-17, 30-18 and 30-18. Eric Vance had a match-high 16 kills for the Matadors, who upped their record to 13-9.

Leonardo Paludo led the NJIT attack with 11 kills, while setter Rodrigo Correa picked up 23 assists. Greg Wagner continued his nearly-flawless hitting, notching six kills, without an error in eight swings for a .750 attack percentage. Amobi Armstrong's five digs paced the Highlanders.

The Highlanders will return to the East, with their next match scheduled for Tuesday at 7 pm in a non-conference contest against Vassar in the Estelle and Zoom Fleisher Athletic Center.
