NEWARK, NJ - New Jersey Institute of Technology junior Leonardo Paludo is the latest men's volleyball Hay Division I Player of the Week for the week ending March 12 in the Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association, the EIVA announced today.
Marc Honore of St. Francis was named Tait Division I Player of the Week.
The junior opposite from Balneario Camboriu, Brazil, hit .359 on the week averaging 6.00 kills, 2.38 digs and combined for 52.5 points.
In a close match against East Stroudburg, Leonardo Paludo accounted for 40 points in the two-hour affair, notching a match and team season-high 37 kills in 71 attempts. He had just 11 errors, finishing with a .355 attack percentage. The 37 kills was the most for NJIT in a single season over the last two seasons.
In a sweep against Harvard, Paludo combined for 11 kills on 21 attempts with just four errors, finishing with an attack percentage of .333.
