An international player for her native Ireland and a former collegiate star stateside, Siobhan Kilkenny joined the New Jersey Institute of Technology women's basketball coaching staff for the 2005-06 season.

Kilkenny, a 2003 graduate of Manhattan College (bachelor of science degree in physical education), is a former member of the Irish Senior National women's basketball team and was part of her nation's national team program from 1994 to 2004.

She represented Ireland in the 2001 and 2004 Women's European Basketball Championships and was the 2003 Irish International Player of the Year.

While at Manhattan, she was named Most Valuable Player of the 2003 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Tournament after leading her team to the championship and an automatic berth in the NCAA Division I Tournament.

Also that year, she was an All-MAAC 2nd team honoree for the regular season and was also named to the All-Met (NY) 2nd team. A strong all-around player at shooting guard and small forward, Kilkenny averaged 12 points, 6 rebounds and 2.7 steals per game as a senior, placing her among the conference leaders in all three categories, including third place in steals.

She is fourth on Manhattan's all-time career steals list (202) and was named to the Big Apple Classic first team in 2001 and 2002.

Prior to accepting her position on the NJIT coaching staff, Kilkenny was playing professional women's basketball for the Pabellon Ourense (Spain) club team.

Prior to NJIT she gained extensive experience working at summer camps and also coached girls basketball with the Castlebar Rockets club team in her hometown and also in Westchester County, NY.

A member of the Women's Basketball Coaches Association and the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance, Kilkenny is active in Metropolitan New York women's soccer and Gaelic football leagues.

She has teaching experience in schools in Westchester County, NY, as well as having done student teaching in Westchester and in the Riverdale section of the Bronx, NY.

She resides in South Amboy, NJ.
