2007-08: Velez, the lone senior for the Highlanders, ranks fifth in scoring with 181 points (6.2pg) and ranks second on the team with 116 rebounds (4.0). Velez tied her career-high scoring 19 points, shooting 5-for-6 from the field and 8-for-10 from the free throw line against Texas-Pan American on January 8. Velez recorded 19 points against Bryant back on December 29, 2004 when the Highlanders competed at the Division II level.
