NEWARK, NJ - New Jersey Institute of Technology goalkeeper Sadie Mele is the latest United Soccer Conference women's soccer Goalie of the Week, the USC announced.

Utah Valley's Shantae Adams tabbed Player of the Week scoring her first two goals of the season against Long Island Sunday afternoon.

Freshman Mele who was an all-state high school player in Rio Rancho, New Mexico had another stellar week in goal for the Highlanders.

Against Albany, she gave a solid performance including a one-on-one breakaway stop by on Teresa Boring with just under eight minutes left in the first half with her team up 1-0 on a ball fired into the upper right corner by freshman Christi Taylor assisted by Aine O'Dwyer.

In the Highlanders second game of the weekend against Quinnipiac, Mele tallied a career-high 12 saves on 13 shots. She finished the week off with 17 saves and 1.33 goals against average.

Mele currently leads the USC in goals against average with 1.23 and save percentage .862 while ranking second in saves with 25.
