GLENSIDE, PA - The New Jersey Institute of Technology women’s swimming team lost twice in its tri-meet at Arcadia Saturday. The Highlanders fell just short against host Arcadia, 44-35, and lost to William Paterson, 51-34.
Ana Ossa swam her second-fastest career time in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:11.69), which is the second-fastest in NJIT history and was nearly two seconds better than anyone else in the pool on Saturday. The senior also had the best time in Saturday’s 200-yard individual medley (2:23.78).
Picking up first-place points scoring against William Paterson were: Lorin Diaz, in the 100-yard backstroke; Lauren Thompson, 500-yard freestyle; and the 200-yard freestyle relay team of Diaz, Leigh Ann Zangora, Chemu Koech and Thompson.
Scoring first-place points against Arcadia was the 200-yard medley relay team of Diaz, Ossa, Alaine Fairweather and Koech.
