NEWARK, NJ - The New Jersey Institute of Technology women’s swimming team hosted their counterparts from Stevens Institute of Technology Wednesday night and the visiting Ducks left with an 89-66 win.
Senior Ana Ossa got all three of the Highlanders’ first-place finishes on the night, winning the 1,000-yard freestyle in a school-record 11:40.23, as well as taking first in the 100-yard butterfly (1:04.32) and in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:12.23).
Alaine Fairweather had two seconds (50-yard freestyle and 100-yard freestyle), while Lauren Thompson was second in the 500-yard freestyle and Lorin Diaz was second in 100-yard backstroke.
NJIT will host Mount Saint Mary on Saturday at 1 pm.
