OSSA SETS MORE SCHOOLS RECORDS VS. MANHATTAN

NEWARK, NJ - Senior Ana Ossa, swimming in a newly-scheduled meet against Manhattan, set two New Jersey Institute of Technology women's swimming records in the Fleisher Athletic Center pool on Sunday.

Ossa established new marks in the 50-yard breaststroke (33.49) and in the 100-yard individual medley (1:06.05).

The other individual to score first-place points for NJIT was Alaine Fairweather in the 50-yard butterfly. Leigh Ann Zangara, Ossa, Fairweather and Chemu Koech teamed for first place points in the 200-yard medley relay.

Manhattan won the meet, 67-58.

The Highlanders will visit Queens College in New York for a meet on Friday at 6 pm.
