JERSEY CITY, NJ - The New Jersey Institute of Technology women's swimming team lost twice in its tri-meet at St. Peter's College. The Highlanders fell just short against host St. Peter's, 121-55, and lost to St. Francis (NY), 157-26.
Alaine Fairweather finished second in the 100 free with a time of 1:04.80 while freshman Theresa Higgins finished third.
The Highlanders had two finishers in the 100 backstroke - Kristy Haeckel 1:23.19 and Leigh Ann Zangara 1:26.29.
The Highlanders return to action when they travel to Canisus on Saturday for an 11:00am start.
