Marvyn Hall joined the NJIT coaching staff in August 2007 after two years as coaching at neighboring Rutgers-Newark.

In his first season as head men's tennis coach at Rutgers-Newark in 2006, Hall helped the Scarlet Raiders to their sixth straight winning season, guiding a young squad to a 7-5 mark.

Hall joined the Rutgers-Newark tennis staff in February 2005, assisting fifth-year head coach Bil Leipold with the men's program.

He also served as the chief assistant to fourth-year head coach Kevin Morris in the Scarlet Raider women's program. The Raider women have posted back-to-back winning records with his help as Kevin Morris was named the 2005 New Jersey Athletic Conference Women's Tennis Coach of the Year.

Hall, who previously coached for 10 seasons as the assistantfor Montclair State's women, also served for 15 years as program director of the Southern Essex Tennis Association, Inc., which blended tennis and academic development for inner-city youngsters.
