TENAFLY, NJ - The New Jersey Institute of Technology women's tennis team fell to Temple, 6-1 Saturday night in Tenafly, NJ. The Highlanders are now 5-3 on the season.

The Owls, now 4-1 on the year took five out of six single matches and swept the doubles.

NJIT's Chiori Koike earned the only point for the Highlanders defeating Whitney Tillman at No. six singles, 2-6, 6-3, (10-4).

The closest match of the night came at the No. 1 spot in doubles where sophomore Iulia Doci and junior Fatima Kasem took on Yuri and Kurashima and Christine Clermonet of Temple. Doci and Kasem could not hold on in the hard fought match, falling 9-8.

The Highlanders return to action on Friday, February 23 when they travel to Binghamton for a 7pm match.
