MELBOURNE, FL - The New Jersey Institute of Technology women's tennis team came up short, 5-4, Tuesday at Florida Institute of Technology. NJIT falls to 7-5 on the season.
The Highlanders won three out of six singles matches and took one doubles set.
Isha Toor sparked the Highlanders at No. 3 singles defeating Natalia Ramos 6-2, 6-4 while Fanny Aizier followed topping Nicole David 6-1, 6-1 at No. 4 spot. Chiori Koike earned the last point for the Highlanders at No. 5 spot defeating Tania Gray 6-1, 6-4.
Doubles pair Marine Henry and Koike swept Valerie Rapson and Gay 8-0 at No. 3 doubles.
The Highlanders return to action Wednesday, when they face Johns Hopkins. The match is scheduled to start at noon.
