Women's Tennis Takes Bucknell, 5-2

LEWISBURG, PA - New Jersey Institute of Technology took five of the six singles matches and one doubles contest for a 5-2 women's tennis win over Bucknell University Saturday afternoon at the Bucknell Varsity Tennis Courts.

Sophomore Iulia Doci led the Highlanders, scoring a 6-0, 6-1 win in first singles. Also capturing a wins in the singles contest were: Isha Toor (6-3, 6-2 in third singles), Marine Henry who fought out a three-set tiebreaker (3-6, 6-3, 6-3 in fourth singles) while Fanny Aizier and Chiori Koike earned points at fifth and sixth singles.

Doubles pair Henry and Koike picked up an 8-5 decision at third doubles.

The Highlanders improve to 11-9 while the Bison fall to 2-10 on the season.

NJIT is slated to host Rhode Island Sunday, April 1 at 11am behind the Fleisher Athletic Center.
