Doci Advances to the Round of 64 at Wilson/ITA East Regional Tennis Championship

NORFOLK, VA - The NJIT women's tennis team competed at the Wilson/Intercollegiate Tennis Association East Women's Regional Championships Sunday night on the campus of Old Dominion.

Highlander Iulia Doci won her singles match defeating Jessica Brouwer from Virginia Tech, 3-6; 7-5; 6-3. With the win Doci advances to the round of 64 where she will take on the number eight seed from Boston College.

In doubles action, Doci and doubles partner Isha Toor fell to the number eight seed Lindsay Clark and Lauren Ritz from Yale in the round of 64; 8-0.

The singles finalists and doubles champion from this event will earn spots in the November 1-4 ITA National Intercollegiate Indoor Championships hosted by The Ohio State University at the Racquet Club of Columbus.
