WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ - New Jersey Institute of Technology men's track and field team competed at the 12th Annual Monmouth University Track and Field Season Opener on Saturday afternoon.
Thirteen Division I teams competed at this event: Rutgers, Delaware State, FDU, Fordham, Hofstra, Iona, Monmouth, Temple, St. Joseph's, St. Peter's, Rider and St. Francis (N.Y.) in the dual meet.
Junior Jackie McCaffrey competed in the 400 meter hurdles crossing the line with a time of (1:20.01). Freshman Lesley Hendricks finished with a time of (14.30)
The Highlanders return to action when they travel to Wagner on March 31 for a 9am start.
