NEW HAVEN, CT - Sally Jensen of New Jersey Institute of Technology set two new school records in women's track and field this weekend at the Yale Invitational.
Jensen, who competed in her first collegiate race this weekend, finished 23rd in the 3,000 meter run with a time of 11:59.60 while placing 29th in the 1500 meter run at 5:23.25.
Junior Jackie McCaffrey also set a new school record in the 400 meter hurdles placing 13th crossing the finish line with a time of 1:16.15.
Rookie sprinter, Lesley Hendricks placed 14 out of 23 in the 100 meter dash with a personal best of 13.34.
The Highlanders are off until Friday, May 11 when they travel to California for the Division I Independent Track Championships, which are scheduled to start at 9am.
