Central Connecticut Tops Highlanders

NEW BRITAIN, CT - Central Connecticut women's volleyball team scored a 3-0 win over visiting New Jersey Institute of Technology at Detrick Gymnasium, Friday night.

Blue Devils' sophomore, Amanda Olmstead, led a (30-13, 30-22, 30-23) win with a match-high 10 kills. Brynn Good notched a match-high 30 assists with 8 kills of her own.

For NJIT, Kubra Tanrikulu and Kasha Hornstein both tallied nine kills apiece while teammate Kristy Haeckel recorded seven kills and four digs. Hornstein recorded 10 digs. Sophomore setter Danielle Thompson notched a team-high 29 assists.

The Highlanders return to action on November 1, when they host St. Francis (NY) at 8:00pm in the Fleisher Athletc Center.
