PHILADELPHIA - Three runners from the New Jersey Institute of Technology women's cross country team competed in the Philadelphia Metro Invitational Meet on Saturday.
The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference championship race will be held on the same Fairmount Park course on October 22 and CACC teams were also entered in the Philadelphia Metro race on Saturday.
Leading the way for NJIT was senior co-captain Liz Mayo, who ran a smart race and advanced past many runners to finish 23 rd in the field of 132, while also breaking the 22-minute threshold for the first time this season in 21:53.
